- To access from an email notification, click on the direct link button within the email to the policy requiring your approval.
- Review the entire content of the policy, attachments and properties to ensure accuracy.
- If changes are needed click Edit or see How do I edit or revise my policies? When done editing click Start Approval and the newly created draft version will replace the one that was pending approval and start in the workflow at Step 1.
- To Reject the policy outright, follow these instructions and comment your reasons for rejecting. Rejecting will send the policy back to Step 1 in the Approval Workflow and eventually, the policy will again advance through the workflow and will prompt you to Approve it.
- NOTE: There is no option to skip approvers. The document must always go all approved as defined in the selected approval workflow. If the workflow members are incorrect contact your local site administrator or select a different workflow. For instructions on viewing the Approval Workflow of a Pending Policy click here.
- To approve, click Approve* at the top left of the page.
- *NOTE: This sends the document to the next Approver in the Workflow or makes the document live/active if you are the final or only Approver in the Workflow.
- Add comments* in the field (optional) and click Approve.
- *NOTE: Any comment added will be visible to any user with editing/approving rights on the policy.
- TIP: You can enlarge the comment field by clicking and dragging on the bottom right corner of the comment field.
Additional Information:
Optional Approvals and Approval Simulations will not advance the workflow. Approval Simulations will still show up in the Approval Signatures section but Optional Approvals will only show in the History section of the policy.
