Procedure/Resolution
If in a multi-site network, be sure to look for your draft under each of the sites. A user may create a document under one site and then work more regularly under other sites and forget where the document was created. Documents by default are visible only in the site they are created in. Additional sites can be allowed to have the document visible for them but that is given by permissions for document applicability by a site administrator.
Procedure:
- Navigate to the Home tab.
- Click Drafts under the Policy Management section.
- Filter your Drafts by typing key terms in the Search bar and click Search (optional).
- Locate the desired draft and click the corresponding Edit button to open the policy in the Editor.
If ownership changes, the document will no longer appear under your drafts. You can click the link on the drafts page allowing you to see all drafts that you have edit permissions for on that site.
It is also possible that the draft you started is now pending approval or it may have gotten approved and is active so you may want to check those locations as well. If you still cannot locate your draft please contact PolicyStat Support.
