Procedure/Resolution
Click to view these steps in the new PolicyStat interface.
System sites with multiple interconnected PolicyStat sites will most likely also contain multiple Applicability groups. For more detail about what Applicability groups are, see: What are Applicability Groups?
When you create a new policy or edit an existing policy, you must set the appropriate Applicability in order to save the draft.
- In the Draft version of the policy, navigate to the Policy Applicability section.
- Use the Applicability drop-down to select the desired group.
- If you are unsure as to which group to select, please consult your local Site Administrator. If the applicability group you are looking for is not present, the site you are working from is not included in the setup of the group.
- PLEASE NOTE: If this field is not visible on your document, your site either is not part of a system with multiple applicability groups, or your site is configured to not display this drop-down on policy drafts. Please contact your Site Administrator for assistance if you need to select applicability for your document and the tab is not available.
- If you are unsure as to which group to select, please consult your local Site Administrator. If the applicability group you are looking for is not present, the site you are working from is not included in the setup of the group.
- Once the policy becomes active, it will appear in the search results for any site contained within the selected Applicability group.
Applicability can be changed in bulk for active documents using the Bulk Admin-Override. For pending and drafts, they must be changed individually. When changing applicability on a pending document, select Edit first and then change the applicability rather than doing an override. The change in the applicability for the pending document will not take effect until the approval workflow is restarted. Doing an override only changes it once the document is fully approved. The same is true if changing workflows, areas or owners.
