Inserting or Deleting Rows or Columns from a Table
To add rows or columns, click into a cell, then click the row or column buttons on the able menu. Select the desired option from the dropdown.
PLEASE NOTE: The graphic below shows the column dropdown, but the options are the same for the row dropdown.
Setting Headers
Clicking the Header column or Header row toggle in the dropdown menu will designate that column/row of cells as a header cell.
Header cells have a light grey background applied and are designated differently when using assistive technology, such as a screen reader.
Merging and Splitting Cells
Cells can be merged into neighboring cells allowing them to span multiple rows and/or columns.
Cells can be split horizontally or vertically. This allows you to separate cells that have been merged to span multiple rows/columns or to create additional cells that appear in the currently selected row/column.
Deleting a Table
To delete a table, select the entire table by clicking the outer-most border. The table will display a blue border when selected. Once selected, press backspace or delete on your keyboard.
