What is the Difference between a Site Administrator and a System Administrator?

Environment:

• PolicyStat customers with multiple sites under 1 system

Additional Information:

Every system should have an identified System Administrator who has admin permissions for all sites and applicability groups across the system. In order to be a System Administrator, a user must have "Can Administer Site" permissions set on all of the customer's applicability groups. 

Answer:

A Site Administrator has the highest level of user permissions on a single site. A System Administrator, however, has these permissions on every site under the customer. 

In addition to the actions that Site Administrators can take, a System Administrator can do the following:

• Access every site's Admin tab
• Manage or Proxy any user account
• Edit or Override any document
• Change the name of an Area
• Relocate users between all sites 
• Enable Gen AI
