To overwrite a previously retired document, unretire the document, then upload a new version of the policy on top of it and publish the new policy. Please follow the steps below:
1. Access Retired Documents under the Setup Tool Icon:
2. Locate the document you wish to unretire:
Note that you can use the small magnifying glass icon to search the list of Retired Documents.
3. Take note of the Folder Location/Path of the document you are about to untired as you will need to remember this for later.
4. Click the document name cell and then click the "Unretire Document" button at the bottom right of the Metadata window that pops up. You will be asked to provide details as to why you are performing this action. It is an optional step that you can skip by clicking the "Proceed" button:
5. Next, Click Document Tree Setup under the Setup Tool icon:
6. Navigate to the folder you observed/noted in step 3. Find the document in the folder and it will either have a status of "New" or "Ready" depending on your site's settings:
7. Once again, click the Name field in order to bring up the Document's metadata & take note of the File Name. You will need to ensure that the new document that you're planning to upload has the exact same file name.
8. Select the 'Upload' button, find your file and select it, then fill out the Last Review & Next Review Date fields.
9 After choosing the file & filling in the required metadata, click the "Upload Document(s)" button at the bottom right.
10. Finally, select the check box next to the document and click the "Publish" button:
