How do I Change the Assigned Approval Workflow on a Policy?

Change the assigned approval workflow of a policy

Procedure/Resolution

A few quick items to note:

• Owners, Approvers, Area Editors, Area Managers, and Site Administrators can modify properties.
• Modifying Properties requires a restart of the Approval Workflow for the changes to take effect.
• Site Administrators can modify this or other properties without restarting the workflow via an Administrative Override or a Bulk Admin Override but the change will not fully take effect until the workflow is restarted.
• Only one user may own a document but multiple users may edit and collaborate on a policy.

This process only changes the Approval Workflow for the next pending version. 

1. Open the document in Edit view by clicking either Edit or Review on the upper document navigation bar.
2. Locate the Approval Workflow field within the Properties section.
3. Within the selection box, choose a different workflow.
4. Modifying any properties requires a restart of the approval workflow to confirm the changes.
5. Continue to edit other properties or content or provide a Summary of the Changes and Start (or restart) the Approval process.
