Editor Overview
The PolicyStat Editor is separated into several sections that focus on important aspects of your policy. Each section can be worked through, one at a time, as you create or edit your document. Alternatively, the menu on the left side of the page allows you to quickly jump to a specific section with a single click.
Policy Properties Section
The Properties section is used to define important information about the policy such as the Area, assigned Approval Workflow, and Review Period. In the next article, we'll explore assigning properties as well as some of the advanced options on this tab.
Policy Applicability
System sites with multiple interconnected PolicyStat sites will most likely also contain multiple Applicability groups. If your site is part of one or more of these groups, this field will allow you to select the Applicability group to which this policy will apply.
Add-On Properties
If your site has purchased any of the available Add-Ons, those features can be associated with your policies here.
Policy Editor Section
Opening a draft or creating a new policy will provide access to the PolicyStat Editor. This section is where you will create the content of your document.
The Toolbar features many buttons and functions you may already be familiar with - many of which will be covered in this Training Path. For a full breakdown of the Toolbar options with examples, see Editor Toolbar Overview in the additional links below.
Table of Contents
While it is not a section on its own, each policy features a table of contents. While it displays when viewing an active policy, the table of contents begins in a collapsed state that is opened by clicking the icon in the bottom left corner. A table of contents is automatically populated by any heading or sub-heading formatting in your policy and will link directly to that section in the Active version.
Additionally, the Attachments section will also be linked and a number will displayed next to the entry on the Table of Contents of indicate the amount, if any, of files attached to the document.
Attachments Section
Any attachments, including images, are uploaded and displayed in this section. Attachments will be covered in-depth later in this training path.
Effective Date Section
If your site uses scheduled effective dates, use the settings here to designate a number of days to delay or a specific date for the policy to become active.
Policy Advanced Properties
Initially in a collapsed state, the Advanced Properties section allows you to apply settings concerning the visibility of the policy and its print version. This will be covered in greater depth later in the training path.
