Profiles Management
A step-by-step guide to creating Profiles, allowing you to segment users and control access to system features.
What is Profiles Management?
Profiles identify the specific privileges that a set of users has within Contracts Manager™. Multiple profiles can be created, allowing Admins to segment users, and more closely control what features of the system they can access.
This guide will cover the following topics:
Creating a Profile
1. Log in on the home page with your username and password. In order to proceed, you must be a registered user with Admin privileges.
2. Once logged in, hover your mouse over the Setup icon at the top of the window, and click Profiles Management.
3. The following screen will appear. Click “Add.”
4. The following screen will appear. Complete the Name and Description fields for the new Profile. Scroll through the list and select exactly which privileges this group of users will be able to access.
5. Click Save Profile.
*Please note, users will be added to Profiles through User Management.
Managing Existing Profiles
Deleting a Profile
Profiles with a red box beside them in the Profile List window do not contain any users. Profiles with a green box do contain users. A profile cannot be deleted if it contains users.
1. Follow steps 1 and 2 under “Creating a Profile.”
2. In the Profile List window, click the check box beside the Profile name.
3. Click Delete.
Editing a Profile
1. Follow steps 1 and 2 under “Creating a Profile.”
2. 2. In the Profile List window, click the name of the Profile.
3. The following box will appear. Make any desired changes, and click Save Profile.
