A step-by-step guide to managing your Responsible Parties in Contracts Manager, allowing you to assign responsibility within your contracts.
What is Responsible Party Management?
The legal definition of a responsible party is an individual or group of people that are legally responsible or liable for a decision or action and therefore liable for the outcome.
In Contracts Manager, you will have the ability to assign Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary responsibility to parties for each of your contracts. You will assign Responsible Parties to Contracts in Projects or in Document Tree Setup.

1. Click on the Set-up Tool and select Responsible Party Management
2. Click on the “Add” button
1. The following screen will appear. Search for the user’s name who will be the Responsible Party.
2. Select the Party Type, First Name, Last Name, and E-mail address of the Responsible Party. Click Save Party.
Deleting a Responsible Party
1. Click on the Set-up Tool and select Responsible Party Management
2. Select the Responsible Party you would like to delete by clicking the check box beside it. Click Delete.
Editing a Responsible Party
1. Click on the Set-up Tool and select Responsible Party Management.
2. Select the Responsible Party you would like to edit by clicking on it.
3. You may now change any information related to a Responsible Party (Name, E-mail Address, Type, etc.)
