Document Templates
A step-by-step guide to uploading Document Templates to be used as a starting point for creating contracts in Projects.
What are Document Templates?
Document Templates serve as a starting point for new contracts. They are uploaded by System Administrators and can be pulled up by Registered Users on the Document Setup tab when setting up a project. Using Document Templates helps standardize all contracts within your organization.

Uploading a Document Template
1. Log in on the home page with your username and password.
2. Once logged in, hover your mouse over the Setup icon at the top of the window, and click Preference Settings.
3. The following screen will appear. Click “Document Templates.”
4. The following screen will appear, listing all Document Templates that are available in your system. In order to upload a new Document Template click “Add.”
5. The following box will appear. Type in the Name of the Document Template, a Description (optional), Contract Type, and click Browse to locate the file on your hard drive. The document should be in Microsoft Word format. Click “Save Document Template.”
6. The new Document Template will now appear in the list, and will be available to Registered Users when working on Projects.
Deleting a Document Template
1. Follow steps 1-3 from Uploading a Document Template above.
2. The following screen will appear. Click the check box beside the existing Document Template that you would like to delete. Then click “Delete.”
Accessing Document Templates
1. Log in on the home page with your username and password.
2. Once logged in, click Projects. The following screen will appear. In order to start a new Project, click “Add.”
3. The Projects window will open. In the first tab entitled Primary Info, you may select your template from the drop down list for Contract Template Used.
