Acknowledgements, which may have been referred to attestations outside of RLDatix Policy Management, are a way to indicate that you have read an assigned document. Typically, this is a way to mark that you understand the contents of a document and will adhere to it in order to remain safe and compliant with company policies.
Not every facility uses this feature, but those that do use it to assign required reading, training documents, or even annual compliance forms.
"I have read and understand this policy."
If a policy requires acknowledgment, users are notified via email and on their Policy Management homepage. The email for a user's assigned acknowledgments is sent exclusively on Monday evenings with the subject of the email being Policies Requiring Your Action This Week. The email will continue to be sent until all assigned actions are completed.
Watch the video below to learn how to Acknowledge an assigned document.
Who assigns policy Acknowledgments?
Acknowledgments can be assigned by Site Administrators as well as any user who has the ability to manage policies within an Area. Assigned Acknowledgments typically only require reading the document once, but they can be set to be Recurring Acknowledgments, which will prompt a return to the policy every time the contents change.
Acknowledgments are one of the few responsibilities that can be assigned to any user regardless of their role. Requiring users to read a policy can help staff and organizations with safety and compliance.
